Alpin Action - crew Andrej Bijuklic

Andrej Bijuklic

Country: Slovenia

Sports: kayaking, climbing, biking

 I, life, philosophy

Before I even now what I want, white age of 9, I start me kayak journey in a local kayak club (KKSE) in Solkan, Slovenia. At the time the only thing that I now about kayaking was racing on slalom competitions. After a few successful seasons, few national titles and a european championship, pressure from national federation began to grow. It was time to make a decision! My sturdy character and desire for »free paddling« was much bigger and it took my on a first kayak trip to Corsica. The page that I turned has become my love and passion, my life. Rivers, nature and friends that I had discovered that spring of 2001, made end of my slalom days!
Now 200+ rivers later, nothing has changed, passion is still very intensive, out there is still a lot of rivers to paddle and no reason to stop. After saw many years of searching and pushing, I am asking me self where is the limit and why I am still motivated, how come that after a decade of creeking I`m more and more motivated. Probably the ticket that I have got on the first trip was just one way, the way to the river!

The Tourlite Hoody from Peak Uk - (IT)

The Tourlite Hoody from Peak Uk

A nice lightweight touring jacket from Peak Uk,  easy to put on and off even sitting in your kayak when weather is changing fast.

The large hood is easy to adjust and will keep in place even with strong front wing, ‘ve been testing it this winter  on the Albanian coast with wind up to 80 kmh.
There is no latex on neck and wrists, this means the cag is very comfortable, offers great protection from wind and waves but is not supposed to be used in really extreme conditions. (for this we recommend the Peak Uk Adventure, single or double waist).
A big zippered front pocket can store a camera plus a lot of small things you might need during your trip.
Reflective stripes on the arms keep you safe when paddling in the fog or in crowded ports, you’ll be always visible.
‘ve been paddling this jacket since November last year, it has now more than 80 trips and it looks just as new, I recommend it to all paddlers when the temperatures is from 5 degrees up and there is no plan to capsize too many times.
It can be even used as a great breathable rain jacket out of your kayak.
For the Summer, in the same range you can get the Tourlite Short and if you don’t like the hood the Tourlite Long Double.

Specs:
Articulated cut with drop tail and bent elbows. Fully taped seams. Breathable and durable X2.5 ripstop nylon with 10m waterproofing. Zip opening neck with large hood. Neoprene wrists with opening Velcro enclosure. Neoprene waist band with elasticated draw cord. Front zip pocket with stylish sewn drain holes. Reflective stripes. Fully adjustable hood.

Sizes: XS. S. M. L. XL. XXL.
Colours: Red / Grey. Blue / Grey.
Uses: Touring. Flatwater. Ocean. Instruction.

Tourlite Hoody Peak Uk

Specifiche:

Taglio anatomico con parte posteriore allungata e gomiti preformati. X2.5 ripstop nylon, traspirante e duraturo resistente a 10m. Bande riflettenti. Cappuccio ad alta regolazione.

Taglie: XS.S.M.L.XL.XXL

Colori: Rosso/Grigio . Blue/Grigio

Uso: Turismo. Acqua piatta. Mare. Scuole.

Pyranha Everest test (EN)

This boat it is a nice looking shape and also comfortable. When I looked at it for first time I thought it was going to be hard for me to adapt. After the first time i paddled it I have to say it is was a satisfactory feeling and along the past few days I have got to like it very much. It is a fast boat for 80kg paddlers because the rocker it is low enough comparing with bottom line. This shape makes it harder on flat landings. The side rails are probably one of the things that could worry you the most but don't worry in a few hours you get use to it after finding out the perfect angle to carve.
I would put the seat a bit higher and that's probably all...

Some people like to say, the plastic is not the strongest one! But the boat has passed my daily crashes successfully and even nose hits from pinning on waterfalls. And many time i thought it must be broken but it always come back to the original shape.

Give it a try at Alpin Action kayak and enjoy it.

Salvagente Stohlquist Descent (IT)

PeakUk winter Topdeck (IT)

....un saluto a tutti Gigi Codinotti Have good paddling :-))
