Stomper 90
The doors have been opened and the evolution was realised. Stomper the new toy from Liquidlogic had spread around the globe and is now here in Slovenia. liqiudlogic is developing new ideas year after year and trying to connect kayakers with water in that way that paddling became easy and spontaneously.
The new wave of extreme kayakers, which are pushing the limits to the maximum, helped to design this boat. The result is a boat that is prepared to go to the maximum. The youngest brother of Jefe is a blend between speed, stability and rolling ability a great combination for step creeks. Every shape have it function and reason.
I tested the stomper 90, for me it was the perfect combination, I like big boats and I paddle with me body lined forwards, write on the deck where is the most efficient on turnings. It turns smooth and fast, probably the redesigned tail offers enough safety to push you out from any problem and let you turn in any situation. Sometimes I had the feeling that the tail is going too much under water but it always keeps the forwards momentum. Rocker is a classical icebreaker and is going over anything. For me the highlight are the reshaped edges, they are the heart of this boat. Edges are soft on slides in the water they offer enough grip and forgiveness to go one step further.

Stomper 90
Le porte si sono aperte e l’evoluzione si è realizzata. Stomper, il nuovo nato in casa Liquidlogic ha invaso il globo ed ora è qui in Slovenia. Liquidlogic è un’azienda leader nello sviluppo di nuove idee nell’ambito del design di kayak e anno dopo anno si impegna a farsi da punto di congiunzione tra il canoista e l’acqua, in modo che pagaiare diventi semplice e spontaneo.
La recente ondata di canoisti estremi che hanno spinto i limiti al massimo, ha dato un grosso aiuto al design di questa barca. Quindi il risultato è un mezzo pronto per il massimo. La sorella più giovane della Jefe è una miscela ben calibrata tra velocità, stabilità, e semplicità nell’eskimo, una combinazione perfetta per lo “steep creeking” i torrenti pendenti. Ogni sagoma ha il suo perché.
Ho provato la stomper 90 che per me è la perfetta combinazione, mi piacciono le barche grosse e amo pagaiare con il busto proteso in avanti, dove ottengo la miglior efficienza nel girare. E la barca gira che è un piacere, pronta e veloce, la coda ridisegnata offre un buon sostegno tale da spingerti via da qualsiasi problema, ma allo stesso tempo ti permette di manovrare in modo ottimale. Talvolta ho la sensazione che la coda vada un po’ troppo sott’acqua, ma riesce sempre a mantenere la spinta in avanti. Il rocker è un classico rompighiaccio, passa sopra tutto e boofa automaticamente. Per me da evidenziare sono gli angoli ridisegnati, sono come il cuore di questa barca. Gli angoli sono soffici nei salti, ma nell’acqua offrono sufficiente tenuta e al contempo perdonano consentendo di ripartire in velocità.
“Badass” è il nome che Liquidlogic usa per i suoi outfitting e risultano comodi, regolabili e molto semplici da sistemare. Sulla Stomper hanno inaugurato un’interessante novità che consiste nel poter ruotare la struttura che sorregge lo schienalino di 180° in avanti in modo da avere un comodo accesso alla coda della barca per operazioni di carico e scarico.
