In fact that I am into white water
activities with so much fun going on I never looked into sea kayak as an
exciting activity as it`s. Maybe because I have looked just for the rapids and
drops and knowing that in sea kayak it isn´t possible, for me it wouldn´t be
fun! Sorry I was wrong.
Seriously considering that I didn´t
want to spend our special time in hotel and having too much people around we
decided to have our HONEYMOON doing SEE KAYAK in the coast of Croatia known as
the Paradise for this activity.
Ana never has been in sea kayak before and I
admit that I was a bit worried as it was her first time in this activity but in
fact that we have been couple of times in white water before I considered it as
a good base to her first step in sea kayak and knowing that it would be an
exciting challenge I just packed everything in our little car and I went to my
civil wedding like this.
When I arrived for our ceremony in suit with two kayaks on the top of the car the feeling was great to
see all those faces looking at me like! REALLY J
After a beautiful ceremony and spent
a good quality of time with friends finally we got in the road and we started
our first trip as Mr & Mrs Souza.
The area of Rovinj and Pula was our
destination as it´s really close to Slovenia and we didn´t want to spend long
driving, as I got some good info and advices from a friend of mine who knows the
place well.
Early in the morning from our first
day after a perfect breakfast we started from Rovinj paddling all the way up to
the Lim channel. Already on the beginning it was nice
to have a different view and expectation from what we usually have in white
water.
Lim channel is the 35 km long valley of the river Pazincica, which transforms into the Lim Bay (Limski Zaljev), a 10 kilometer long estuary.
The feeling to be in contact with nature, no people around, no worries
about nothing just my lover and I, it was amazing. By the first day we learned
that one of the most beautiful moments to have doing sea kayak is wait for the sunset.
After enjoying a perfect and
beautiful day in the nature with my wife as our honeymoon was just at the first
day, we retorned to our accommodation and what happened then is not your
businessJ
The sunrise warming a new day and having
the vibe from this amazing place looking forward to feel more and more we
started everything again. At this time we were paddling toward to South of
Premantura a wonderful place called Kamenjak.
The part of Istria Kamenjak is the
southern tip of peninsula Istria and it stands as a protected landscape under
legal protection. Paddling on the way down we saw few beautiful places where
we still could have some privacy and be in this amazing and peaceful place was
the feeling which we were looking for.
At the southeast part we found an
amazing cave where we could paddle in and between I was setting up our camp Mrs
Souza was cooking our lunch.
After we had a good meal and some rest I found quite
interesting the view from inside the cave and between Mrs Souza was having a
longer rest I was climbing the side walls from the perfect caveJ
The peaceful and love was in the air
and after a while the sunset again was smiling to us making our sea kayaking
trip an unforgettable and amazing HONEYMOON.
