A nice lightweight touring jacket from Peak Uk, easy to put on and off even sitting in your kayak when weather is changing fast.
The large hood is easy to adjust and will keep in place even with strong front wing, ‘ve been testing it this winter on the Albanian coast with wind up to 80 kmh.
There is no latex on neck and wrists, this means the cag is very comfortable, offers great protection from wind and waves but is not supposed to be used in really extreme conditions. (for this we recommend the Peak Uk Adventure, single or double waist).A big zippered front pocket can store a camera plus a lot of small things you might need during your trip.
Reflective stripes on the arms keep you safe when paddling in the fog or in crowded ports, you’ll be always visible.
‘ve been paddling this jacket since November last year, it has now more than 80 trips and it looks just as new, I recommend it to all paddlers when the temperatures is from 5 degrees up and there is no plan to capsize too many times.
It can be even used as a great breathable rain jacket out of your kayak.
For the Summer, in the same range you can get the Tourlite Short and if you don’t like the hood the Tourlite Long Double.

Tourlite Hoody Peak Uk
Una bella giacca da turismo leggera della Peak Uk, facile da indossare e da togliere anche in navigazione quando le condizioni metereologiche tendono a variare bruscamente.
L’ampio cappuccio è comodo da regolare a rimane al suo posto anche in condizioni di forte vento frontale, l’ho collaudato in gennaio lungo la costa albanese con vento fino a 80 kmh.
Non essendoci chiusure in lattice ai polsi e al collo la giacca risulta molto confortevole, offre un’ottima protezione dai venti e dalle onde ma non è indicata per condizioni particolarmente estreme. (in questi casi consigliamo la Adventure Single o la Adventure Double sempre della Peak Uk).
Una grande tasca anteriore dotata di cerniera può contenere la macchina fotografica e altri piccoli oggetti utili in navigazione.
Le bande riflettenti lungo le braccia vi manterranno sicuri e visibili anche in caso di nebbia o quando transiterete porti affollati.
Ho usato questa giacca da novembre a oggi, per più di 80 uscite in mare e sembra ancora come nuova, la raccomando a tutti i canoisti quando le temperature sono da 5 gradi in su e se non sono previsti troppi eskimi.
Può essere usata anche fuori dal kayak come ottima giacca traspirante antipioggia.
Per l’estate, della stessa gamma c’è la TourliteShort, e per chi non ama il cappuccio la Tourlite Long Double.
